Lumbriculus variegatus, also known as the blackworm or California blackworm or Australian Blackworm, is a species of worm inhabiting North America, Europe, and Australia. It lives in shallow-water marshes, ponds, and swamps, feeding on microorganisms and organic material.
Perfect to feed from the bag or as a starter culture to have your own live food supply.
To keep them for longer periods, simply put the supplied worms in a container (more surface area, not tall and deep) and fill with water from your tank. changing the water every day or two as needed. just gently pick up container and tip off most of the water being careful not to discard the worms and top up again from your aquarium.
