Peacock Eel (Macrognathus siamensis)

Peacock Eels are beautiful, slender fish with eye-like spots along their bodies. They are shy and prefer to stay hidden during the day.

Minimum Tank Requirements:

• Tank Size: 150 litres or more
• Temperature: 24-28°C
• pH: 6.5-7.5

Tankmates:
Good with peaceful tank mates such as gouramis, angelfish, and larger tetras. Avoid aggressive or very small fish.

Diet:
Carnivorous. Prefers live or frozen foods like bloodworms, tubifex, and brine shrimp.

Care Tips:
Peacock Eels love to burrow, so a sandy substrate is best. They need a well-covered tank, as they can escape through small gaps.
